Lotito sizes up his jewels: Pandev, Ledesma and de Silvestri are now worth 42 million euros

Lotito on Friday stated the corresponding prices for Pandev, Ledesma and De Silvestri. He claimed that they can’t be considered on sale until the transfer window closes. So if nobody comes forward with a quality offer for Ledesma before 9th July, that is one day before the squad flies to Auronzo, Ledesma will stay.

GORAN PANDEV
Got for: 4 million euros from Inter/Udinese
Price asked: 19 million euros
Gain: +15
Contract ends on: 2011
Top spot: he claimed that he never refused the 4 millions offer from Zenit. Lotito just said no to a Stuttgart offer over the last days.

CRISTIAN LEDESMA
Got for: 6 million euros from Lecce
Price asked: 15 million euros
Gain: +9
Contract ends on: 2011
Top spot: since time is running by, neither Juventus nor AC Milan appear to be very determined in buying the Argentinean playmaker. In the very last hours Fiorentina gained advantage over the rivals. It seems like this time is true. Fiorentina sporting direcotor Pantaleo Corvino never hided his interest in Ledesma: he was the one who brought him to Italy from Boca youth system when he was at Lecce. The deal appears to be almost sure. Rumours want Juventus to place a 21 million bid for Felipe Melo. If Viola get that cash, they’ll be able to pay immediately the 15 million euros Lotito asks for Ledesma.

LORENZO DE SILVESTRI
Got for: 0 (Youth system)
Price asked: 8 million euros
Gain: +8
Contract ends on: 2010
Top spot: Parma offered 4 million euros but Lazio said no. Genoa and Fiorentina lay in wait.

Total income: 42 million euros
Total gain: 32 million euros

Tomorrow (Sunday) the whole squad will meet up at Formello training ground and the season will officially get underway. If you connect at 4pm Italian time on www.lalaziosiamonoi.it home page, you’ll be able to watch a live gallery of the players’ arrival at Formello.
Ballardini and his staff arrived on Saturday night between 7pm and 8pm.
The whole squad though is made up of 36 elements but they should become 25-28 in the next days. Igli Tare is working hard and he’ll fly to Milan between Wednesday and Thursday trying to sell or loan as more players as possible. Sampdoria for instance look very close to get Zauri, Stendardo and Cribari (Lazio ask 5 million euros for the latter who is also being followed by Palermo, Genoa, Panathinaikos and some Turkish clubs). The Genoa-based club can’t spend much money but they desperately need more defenders. While Stendardo and Zauri are sure to leave, the Brazilian defender wants to speak to Ballardini and Tare first.
Bonetto may stay one more year in Livorno maybe on a multiple ownership, while Baronio could head either to Bologna or Parma. The Brescia-born midfielder though hasn’t discarded the idea of staying. But of course he’ll have to understand Ballardini’s philosophy a little bit more, before taking a decision.
Makinwa seems to be on target for some Coca-Cola English Championship clubs and received an offer from Qatar as well.
Scaloni could well move to Estudiantes, as we already said, but he could also consider staying if De Silvestri leaves.
Salernitana, after buying Cozza from Reggina, could keep Berni for another year and get 9th Januray-born midfielder Quadri and Artipoli who has just spent a season at Modena.
Tuia is contested between Frosinone and Crotone.

Saturday morning rumours wanted Lazio to keep trying for Arnautovic since Inter Milan isn't still totally convinced of his physical conditions. But Igli Tare just denied those rumours saying that the Twente's striker isn't a Lazio target.

After getting back from Madrid, the deal concerning Matuzalem and Carrizo hasn’t still be solved. The whole situation will have to wait for 48 more hours. Umberto Fusco, Matuzalem’s agent, though, immediately after touching down, said that the difference this time around «is really minimal and I’ve got good feelings about the deal being delivered». The point is: Lazio offer 6 million euros for the Brazilian playmaker or 5 if Carrizo joins Zaragoza on loan, evaluating his loan 1 million euros. The 1995 Cup Winners’ Cup winner club though evaluates Carrizo’s loan no more than 400,000 euros. Besides, Lazio want at least 10 million euros loan-purchase if Zaragoza decides to buy Carrizo next summer. The newly promoted club though doesn’t want to offer more than 8, but Lazio won’t accept that since they paid 9 last summer for the Argentinean goalkeeper.
